All That Meat and No Potatoes es el corte nº 2 del álbum Satch Plays Fats, con letra de Ed Kirkeby y música de Fats Waller, del año 1941.
La letra, bastante machista para nuestros tiempos, que dice Toda esa carne y sin patatas haría referencia a una guapa mujer con buen tipo (toda esa carne) pero con un pecho pequeño (y sin patatas). Parece ser que posteriormente dio pie a un dicho: all meat and no potatoes, que fue utilizado en la década de los 40 en dos sentidos:
- para referirse, de manera negativa, a una persona con sobrepeso – alguien con una gran cantidad de carne en los huesos.
- o como piropo, en vez del típico silbido admirativo, al paso de alguna mujer con muy buen tipo.
En ambos casos su uso era negativo pues el primero era un insulto y la segunda una referencia al atractivo de la mujer como un mero objeto sexual.
