Exactly Like You es una popular canción compuesta por Jimmy McHugh (música) y Dorothy Fields (letra). La canción, interpretada por Gertrude Lawrence y Harry Richman, formaba parte del musical de 1930 Lew Leslie’s International Revue, un fracaso absoluto de público y crítica que, incluso lo calificaría de “chabacano y vulgar” pero que, al menos, nos dejaría dos grandes canciones: Exactly Like You junto a On the sunny side of the street
Inicialmente no tuvo mucho éxito en los círculos jazzisticos, tan solo hubo un par de grabaciones, llevadas a cabo por Louis Armstrong y la Casa Loma Orchestra, al poco de su estreno en el musical. Pasarían alrededor de cinco años hasta que Benny Goodman la incluyó en su repertorio interpretada por Lionel Hampton. A partir del año 1937 muchas bandas punteras incluirían este tema en su repertorio.
